Subject: Zip Backup Hangs Reading Properties |

I have XP PRO SP2 and Zip Backup hangs reading the Properties of my CDRW drive. I have disabled DLA for this drive, same problem. Zip Backup runs ok on my Win 98 system. The drop down box in Zip Backup shows my drive as:
1:0:0:D: HL-DT-STCD-RW GCE-8481B 1.10. When I click the CD-DVD Tab I get a Message Box saying ZIP BACKUP TO CD READING PROPERTIES (my drive info and stuff about this may be slow unless a disk is in the drive) and this is where it hangs. Please help. Thanks Don Turner

I also have XP Pro SP2 and the same thing is happening to me as well. I just posted another message and hopefully will get a response this time.

Try selecting use internal ASPI which may solve some problems if you have an ASPI driver installed. After selecting use internal ASPI you should close Zip Backup to CD and start it again. You should also read the tread “Not responding”.
