I want to back up my wife's W98 computer on my network. Her machine is configured with a user name but there is no password. Backup to CD is running on my WXPPro system.
Backup will not automatically access her machine or C: drive. I must mess with add folder and put in a user acoount name. Is there any way to have the account known to Backup for automatic operation?

Make sure that you do not run the program as a service, while it will run on the system account which is not allowed to communicate with the net work (MS security policy). Remember you need to have administrator right to use a burner device on a Windows XP. You can now make a bat file which will do the logon:
C:\logon.bat
Net use \\computername password /USER:username
In the Zip Backup to CD “Advanced Menu / Run before an after job” you can put in the C:\logon.bat
This will make the logon before a backup is started.
You can make another bat file to logoff after the job has finished.
Net use \\computername /DELETE

Thank you for the suggestion. I have a problem with it. I am running Zip Backup to CD version 3.17.1.316 RC. I did not find the "Run before an after job" feature under the Advanced menu command. I found only email setup. Am I looking in the wrong place?

You need version 3.18.7
http://www.zip-backup.com/download.php
Download it and run the instalation, which will update your existing version.
