Subject: Incremental backup using a catalog file |

For an incremental backup following a full backup using a catalog file, will the incremental backup add to the catalog file listing or fully replacement it? if the latter, do I need to list the catalog file as "catalog.cat|catalog.cat" in order to add to the listing?

The backup will add to the catalog file. If you only work with one catalog file you only have to specify it once. If the first catalog is followed by more catalogs eg. first.cat|second.cat|third.cat the first catalog is used for checking but it is not updated, the preceding catalogs (second.cat and third.cat) are updated.
